While not as formal as litigation, arbitration typically involves limited discovery and motion practice and culminates with an evidentiary hearing.

Fees:

  • No filing or administrative fees.

  • Pre-hearing fees: Hourly rate.

  • Hearing fees: Daily rate.

Mediation

Mediation offers a cost-effective and efficient alternative to formal dispute resolution.

Since mediation is a voluntary process, it provides the parties to a dispute with control of the resolution of their dispute with the aid of a third-party neutral.

Fees:

  • No administrative fees.

  • Hourly, 1/2 Day, and Daily rates

Negotiation

Negotiation is the most flexible and informal alternative dispute resolution.

Unlike arbitration and mediation, negotiation does not involve a neutral. Instead, the parties with or without representatives directly communicate to resolve their dispute.
